so today was the final day for the "accounting" section. we (group 1 and 2) presented our final products to Matt. Group 1 went first and they had a fairly basic presentation, without Gerrard they had little of things to hand over to matt. our group was a little bit more prepared but i believe that group 1's topic, the actual animation, was alot harder than our physical handouts and supplements to the first groups.

My Reflection:
What do you think of the finished product?
i think that we did well in the final product. doug made a good powerpoint that matt rather enjoyed to see, and josh had a slightly more out there design with his brochure. having the 1-10 points in different areas than normal.

Was the client happy with the product?

yes. i think that matt rather enjoyed having a physical handout to read/hold. he was also very happy to be able to use the 10 reasons to become an accountant, because it is directed to a more school demo-graph rather than having the plain old boring TAFE specialised lettering.

What feedback did the client give your group in regards to the product?
Matt was more than happy to tell us that he would have no difficulty displaying our PP presentation as an opening/ introduction to accounting.

What would you do different if you had the chance?
I actually asked matt this question and he told us that if we were to design the brochure again that he might have done the layout slightly differently than what josh did. but me personally I probably would have tried to get more work in with the group, considering I was helping others for a few weeks.

What was your roll or participation in the group project?
My main roll in the group was to find research, and then to put that research into a condensed version for another person in the group to use. after finding and summarising the information I gave it to Josh and he put it onto the brochure.

Did you complete your part of the job?
Yes. I was one of the ones that had to be finished first so that others could complete their specific tasks.

How do you think the other members of the group went?
Personally I thought that the other people in the group did more work than I did and I think it showed when I was helping others with their work. our group was actually successful in completing our work and that was because we were always at TAFE working.

What would you do differently to help with group communication and dynamics?
Firstly I would agree with what Dave said around the second last week and have a few people have a copy of the work so we could always have something to improve on. I think that, as a group, we communicated fairly well, aside from maybe one incident were one member wasn't here and we had nothing to do because we were waiting on them, we communicated via Facebook well.

alright again for this week, now with only this week and then next weeks the presentation, i will be focusing on my own work and trying to complete all of the written work needed for the assessment criteria.

WH&S section 7 as requested from dave.

Rules for Safety

7.1 Behaviour
- People should take care when working in an IT environment. All electronic equipment should be used responsibly. If a person is acting irresponsibly then they may be asked to leave due to a risk of injury to themselves or others.

7.2 First aid
- is a student / teacher requires first aid, then there should be a first aid kit located in the kitchen. If there is a serious injury to a person, immediately call 000 for an ambulance.

7.3 Maintenance
- maintenance on all electronic devices located in the TAFE campus should only be done by authorised personel or under direct supervision by a teacher or technician. If something isnt working properly, then notify a teacher who will then place the machine 'out of order' who will then contact the technician to fix the problem.

7.4 Layout
The layout of the D block should be efficient, easy to walk around, with little to no hassles or hazards.

7.5 Storage areas
- storage areas should be restricted to students unless given permission by teachers. They should be out of the main teaching areas away from harm.

7.6 Manual handling
- manual handling should be carefully controlled. By lifting too much at one time or by using improper technique can cause injuries to the person.

7.7 Use of workplace equipment
- Proper use of the equipment is essential. There is to be no food or drink in or around the computer workspace. be careful when using the computers to not use them too roughly by hitting or slamming things around them. be cautious when pulling plugs or external devices from the computer and in need be use an anti-static glove when doing maintenance.

7.8 Evacuation procedures
- calmly and quickly evacuate via the route the teacher provides. you should not cause any further reason to panic or increase the reason of the evacuation. The lift is not to be used in any circumstances when the alarms are active. evacuation routes are located at the entry exit of the rooms and should be followed promptly.

7.9 Fire alarm response
- in relation with the evacuation procedures proceed with caution and calmly exit the building to the designated safe zones.

ok so last week i was floating around helping people that needed it. I spent a bit of my time trying to refresh the internet because it has some death grudge against me. But on the other hand i was able to help those who wanted it.

Wed. 5th june. Dave had a small chat with the class about the final presentation and the marking criteria. He made a small remark that some people are turning up late and those people have the only versions of work. He proposed that at least one other person should have a copy in case something goes wrong. This week i will be more focused on completing my personal work for the marketing criteria then the presentation.

Alright so for the past two weeks ( May15 & 22)  ive been finding out information about the top 10 points that matt gave me, and have been writing up a small paragraph on each topic to go into our promotional flyer. at the end of last class that we had I gave all of the stuff to Doug so he could place them into were he wants things to go. I also gave Doug and Sophie a copy of some Questions that I thought we could ask Matt, whether or not they've been asked I don't know.

This week, (May 29) I will be floating around trying to assist people if they want or call for me. we'll see what happens.

ok, so....

we first had a small talk about what our jobs actually entitle within our groups. dave explained that some people are in more need of research / info / animations / images etc than others. with that in mind when it came to my turn, i received help from sophie with the 10 points that matt has assigned for our group. i did the top section (being points 6-10) and sophie will do the others. i spent the majority of the lesson writing out and formating some information that will be put into the handouts.

Starting as of last week, we now have to write up our diary as a blog. so here it is :)

WEEK 10
last week we did a few main things.
1 - Matt, our client, gave us a sheet of paper explaining what he reccomended us to do. we followed his instructions and lead us to splitting into two groups.
2 - slipt into two groups and from there we decided on what each team member was going to do in our specific task. i was grouped with: Josh, Sophie and Doug.
   - we each got our tasks given to us and mine was research and assistance.
3- we took a vote and decided that we would now write up our dairies in a blog format.
